Faculty Salary Categories
Category A: New
faculty from course 1 through course 5. All new faculty
members must complete the new faculty orientation workshops as outlined in
the Faculty Handbook. Additionally, all faculty members must receive
a favorable academic quality assurance review before moving on to Category
B. A faculty member will remain in Category A until these
requirements have been met.
Category B: All
faculty members from course 6 through three (3) years of service.
Prior to moving to Category C, all faculty members in Category B must have
attended the faculty programs required by their campus, and must have
received a favorable quality assurance review within the past two (2)
years. A faculty member will remain in Category B until these
requirements have been met.
Category C: Faculty
who have taught with the University more than three (3) years. In
addition, campuses may impose additional requirements for meeting and
maintain the C Category classification.
Doctoral Pay: All doctorally-prepared
faculty teaching a graduate course receive an additional stipend of $200
per course.

Compensation Per Class Taught The following information applies to faculty
teaching Classroom and FlexNet courses. Undergraduate level courses usually require 20 hours for teaching,
over five (5) weeks. Graduate level courses require 24 hours of teaching over six (6)
weeks.

An additional $200 compensation is paid to
faculty with earned doctorate degrees who teach graduate level courses.
