Faculty Salary Categories

Category A:  All new faculty.

Category B:  Faculty advance from Category A to Category B after a favorable peer review and completion of five (5) classes.

Category C:  All faculty who have taught with the University more than three (3) years. The University establishes the anniversary date for each faculty member as the first night of the first class taught for the University.

To advance from Category B to Category C, all faculty must have received a favorable recommendation from either an administrative review or peer review within the previous six (6) months. A faculty member will remain in Category B until all of these requirements have been met, regardless of years teaching.

Compensation Per Class Taught

Undergraduate level courses usually require 20 hours for teaching, over five (5) weeks. Graduate level courses require 24 hours of teaching over six (6) weeks.

An additional $200 compensation is paid to faculty with earned doctorate degrees who teach graduate level courses.
